The Robert Day School of Economics and Finance Career Management
The students of The Robert Day School of Economics and Finance receive excellent career management support, which enables them to not just find a job, but a great job that leads to a fulfilling career.
As an RDS student, you will receive individualized resume review, cover letter assistance, and interview preparation. Throughout the year, RDS students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of events aimed at maximizing their contact with potential employers. The activities begin in the fall, with employer-hosted information sessions and four on-campus industry nights focusing on careers in finance, consulting, accounting and government/non-profit work, which allow our students to meet employers and learn first-hand of the differences between various organizations.
The career management support continues the entire year through access to CMConnect, our online job database, on-campus interview opportunities, and internship placement support. Due to our relationships with a variety of organizations, which include top firms in banking, consulting, asset management and accounting, hundreds of positions are posted on CMConnect every semester. Year after year, recruiters consistently turn to RDS because our students are valued not only for their financial skills, but also for their ability to collaborate and lead.
Because of CMC's focus on economics and leadership, our alumni are extremely accomplished in the financial services industry. For this reason, RDS students are encouraged to connect with industry professionals through CMC's extensive alumni network and the RDS Board of Advisors. Through these contacts, our students have the ability to discuss current topics with prominent financial leaders and develop a powerful network of professional colleagues.

"I think it's most important that the Program focuses on producing graduates who are more than just test scores and technical proficiency. While the technical aspects are absolutely essential in my industry, real leadership requires much more - judgment, communication, people skills, and an understand of how organizations behave and develop. By fostering these and other qualities, the Program sets itself apart."
Gregg Ireland '72, Senior Vice President, Capital Research and Management Company
